Green Diaspora Forum – Belize 2026

(Early Bird Registration open!)
Building Skills, Enterprises, and Sustainable Livelihoods for Belize & the Diaspora
The Green Diaspora Forum – Belize 2026 is a three-day strategic convening designed to bring together leaders, practitioners, and partners committed to Belize’s long-term economic resilience.
Hosted by the Uplift Institute, through EduRecon (Education Resilience on Every Continent) and the Global Service Trust, the forum focuses on the practical alignment of education and training systems, workforce development, sustainability, and responsible investment—with Belize at the center.
This is not a traditional conference. It is a working forum for professionals who influence how skills are developed, enterprises grow, and capital is deployed responsibly.

Set on the Caribbean waterfront in the heart of historic Belize City, Fort George Hotel & Spa blends modern luxury with authentic Belizean character. Its central location, refined meeting spaces, and coastal ambiance make it an ideal setting for meaningful dialogue, partnership-building, and regional exploration.

Purpose of the Forum
Belize is navigating important transitions—climate impacts, workforce needs, economic diversification, and growing interest from diaspora and international partners. The Green Diaspora Forum provides a space to move beyond conversation toward practical collaboration, grounded in Belize’s realities and priorities.
The forum is guided by a simple premise:
Education and training are economic infrastructure. When skills development is aligned with real opportunities, it strengthens local enterprise, supports workforce retention, and builds long-term resilience. See our running program booklet HERE.
What to Expect
Over three days, participants will:
-
Engage in focused discussions on Belize’s priority skills gaps and workforce needs
-
Participate in curated site visits to education and training centers, sustainable tourism operations, and enterprise or investment projects
-
Collaborate in small working groups to identify pilot initiatives and partnerships
-
Contribute to a forward-looking dialogue on how Belize can strengthen the institutions that support trade, enterprise, and responsible investment
A single keynote on the final day will frame these conversations within the broader context of workforce sovereignty and economic resilience in small, climate-vulnerable nations.
Outcomes
The Green Diaspora Forum is designed to produce:
-
Clear, Belize-centered pilot ideas and partnerships
-
Cross-sector working groups with defined next steps
-
A shared understanding of how education, workforce systems, and investment can reinforce one another
-
Ongoing collaboration beyond the forum itself
